Real Girls Go Racing, by Gilmar Smith

"Some girls play house; real girls go racing."

Norah's daddy was a race car engineer. He worked for several private teams and manufacturers in different motorsport series, such as Formula 1, DTM, and IMSA.

Sadly, he passed away four years ago when Norah was only one. Norah has always loved cars. Maybe somehow she remembers her daddy calling her "Crew Chief."

So this weekend, I had the fun idea of taking a few pictures of her fixing my car, and of course, she was all about it!

I grabbed a fisheye lens, my Nikon Z7, and placed it on my Platypod Ultra. I used a V Flat from V Flat World right in front of my daughter to bounce the sunlight. Then, I just let my daughter have a blast pretending she was working on my car as I shot a few pictures!

We had beautiful light helping us, and shooting these pictures didn't take long at all. They will be treasured for years to come!
