"The quote above - perhaps an understatement; but perspective can arrest the eye to notice something easily overlooked or it can obscure interest. This all depends on how well the perspective serves the photographer’s purpose and shows the subject in an interesting and captivating light. I sometimes use a very low angle (using my Platypod) to get a fresh perspective. I start by placing the camera as close to the ground as possible, even when photographing something in space."
