This photo could not be done with a traditional tripod, even getting low to the ground— because the mushroom was on a very slippery slope. The spikes of the feet of the Platypod made it possible to hold its position with stability.
We see a lot of the images that people have sent in and many could be duplicated with a tripod or stabilizing the camera, but in this situation it was virtually impossible without the platypod and its amazing feet. The feet took care of an impossible “feat".
