Platypodster of the Month Contest

Official Terms & Conditions

By entering the Platypodster of the Month contest (the “Contest”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Eligibility

• The Contest is open worldwide to individuals aged 18 or older at the time of entry.
• Employees, contractors, and representatives of Platypod, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
• The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

2. How to Enter

• To qualify, participants must submit both of the following each month:

1. A final, finished image showcasing their creative work.
2. A behind-the-scenes (BTS) image that shows Platypod equipment in use, preferably with the final image visible on the camera’s monitor and the scene in the background (whether sharp or blurred).

• Submissions may be sent using one of the following methods:

1. Fill out this form to submit your images
2. Post the images on the Platypod Users OFFICIAL Facebook Group.

• By entering, you confirm that both images are your own original work, that you own the copyright, and that you have obtained any necessary releases from identifiable people or property owners.

3. Selection of Winner

• Platypod will select one winner each month at its sole discretion.
• The decision of Platypod is final and binding in all respects.
• No correspondence regarding the judging process will be entered into.

4. Prize

• Each monthly winner will receive a $250 digital gift card redeemable at Platypod.com.
• The gift card is subject to Platypod’s standard gift card terms and conditions available on Platypod.com.
• No cash alternative, substitution, or transfer of prize is permitted.

5. Rights Granted by You

• By entering, you grant Platypod a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your submitted images, in whole or in part, for marketing, promotional, and editorial purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, publication in the monthly Platypod newsletter, blog posts, and official Platypod social media channels.
• By submitting an entry featuring any person, you confirm that you have obtained all necessary model releases and permissions, and that Platypod has the right to use the likeness of any individual depicted.

6. General Conditions

• Platypod reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.
• Platypod also reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or is otherwise deemed inappropriate or unsuitable.
• By participating, you release and hold harmless Platypod, its affiliates, partners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of or relating to your participation in the Contest or use of your submission.

7. Governing Law

• The Contest and these Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

8. Agreement

By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
