Bracket and Bounce with Baitson
By Cathy Baitson
When I was invited to take part in the Kickstarter campaign, I was genuinely excited, not only to be the photographer, but also to see and test the new Platypod bracket and bounce in action.

Larryโs idea for the product came from his experience at a wedding, and while itโs perfectly suited to that environment, I could immediately see its potential for so much more. With that in mind, I organised a series of shoots across Ireland to really explore its versatility.

These included a night-time light trail shoot, a childrenโs party, newborn photography, as well as engagement and wedding imagery. Kersten and Bayleigh travelled over from the UK; one to capture behind-the-scenes footage, and the other to create video using the product itself.

The light trail portrait, newborn, and childrenโs sessions were photographed in Dublin; the engagement and music shoot took place in Northern Ireland; and the wedding celebration was set in a traditional Irish pub in Leitrim, complete with musicians and Irish dancers.

Everything came together seamlesslyโwe couldnโt have asked for a better team to bring it all to life.
And as we say here in Irelandโฆ sure, it was great craic!l
