Food Photography for the Soul

This image was a proof of concert for an idea I had as a lesson for my new Food Photography course with iPhone Photography School. We filmed the course all around Sicily where my family is originally from. I made this image on the dining room table in a rental home in Catania... one of the larger cities in Sicily. My goal was to show how in ordinary room light (or even very low light) I could make a high-quality image using just an iPhone, my Platypod Ultra tripods, Jellyfish Holder, Goosenecks, and a Lumecube light panel. This was the evidence to show my producer that it was really worthy of a full lesson. We ended up executing the lesson in Boheme Mixology Bar in Catania where I set up a shot of a cocktail on a piano keyboard.  The Platypod and Lumecube equipment allowed me to do exactly what I planned and I made that show live for the cameras.
