"As an ambassador for Calibrate I was asked to evaluate the new Display 123 and well, as I usually do I use imagery to show features as I did in a video for them. This setup was created in my office as you can see my office chair in one of the images. First I setup a translucent sweep and then by using the Platypod (with two weights), two Handle’s, and the Playball Elite ballhead I was able to setup and walk around my set without fearing to trip over a tripod leg."
"Then moving the Display 123 device in front showing a small amount of the USB-C connecter cord. The little turtle looking thing is a weight that goes behind the monitor when using the Display 123. As I placed it in front of the box and twisted the cord, the strength of the cord connecting to the unit is so strong, it tilted up all by itself so I didn’t have to use any putty or prop for it to tilt. To tilt the box slightly backwards and give it a dimension I used the Playpod Basic base, the adjustable Platypod Grip ballhead with the Platypod Mini Super Clamp to hold the box at a slight and specific tilt."
"The main light was held using the Playtpod eXtreme that wedged itself on the edge of the sweep frame and an adjustable Platypod Gooseneck to mount the LumeCube RGB Panel Pro 2.0. Then placed the second Panel Pro 2.0 laying flat on the carpet with blue light to illuminate the translucent sweep and put a black card board in front to keep that light off the lens."
"Once everything was setup and composed, I connected the iPad wirelessly to my camera and was able to control focus point, f/stop, shutter and trigger remotely to eliminate any camera shake. It’s so fun to use Platypod equipment because it makes each challenge in setting up a set so quick and easy, and did I say FUN and this was created right in my office… Thanks Platypod for the best production tools on the market!"
