"For this Landscape photography trifocal challenge, I visited two different spots and took three photographs from each location. One evening I headed to the west of Ireland to a location called Mullaghmore. For the first shoot, I thought it would be the perfect location for the Trifocal challenge. Once there, I used my Platypod eXtreme, Platypod Handle and a Platyball Elite ballhead. After setting up my rig, I began shooting with the goal of getting three unique photographs that captured a new subject."

"The lenses that I chose to use were the Canon 15-35mm, 24-105mm, and the Sigma 150-600mm."

"No sooner did I get there did the sunset begin to show itself and I noticed that the wind was really beginning to pick up. Luckily with my Platypod I had no fear of movement as I knew that the eXtreme spikes would provide a secure and stable base despite the wind whipping over the coastline."

"I stayed in the same spot and photographed Mullaghmore castle using the 15-35mm lens with a foreground focus point of the coastline. I then changed to the Sigma 105-600mm and photographed Classiebawn Castle as a close up. Last, I rotated my lens on the Platyball Elite to face the setting sun for a stunning final image."

"You don't have to stay in the same location in order to get a totally new perspective and composition. You can cheat and head to a higher ground to capture a unique fresh visual of the same location."
