"I’ve been wanting to do this shoot for over 30 years! The opening title sequence of Terminator 2 ends with an endoskeleton surrounded by fire. When I was a kid, I drew this image as a book cover of a school project and I’ve always wanted to have another creative shot at it, so here we go!"
"I was recently able to get my hands on the Hottoys version of the T-800 from my partners at @bigbadtoystore and get him in front of the camera. As a background I used a shot of a burning construction scrap pile that I shot almost a year ago displayed on a TV screen. Surrounded the figure with a few tube lights and bounce cards and took some photos."
"In post, I lit up the eyes, then used @BorisFX Optics to generate some additional fire elements, and finished it all off in Lightroom with a color grade and final crop(s)."
"I always wanted to recreate this shot again. I'm so happy that I finally had the opportunity to do it!"
