Ocean Springs has a beach about a mile from the campground, so I ran over for sunset the other night. There are lots of private docks there in the Davis Bayou, so I was able to set up my Platypod Max with the Platyball Elite on one of them and capture this image with my Nikon Z7 and 16-35mm."

02 | THE NORTH ALGODONES IMPERIAL SAND DUNES WITH BOB COATES
“Algodones Dunes are a 45 mile sand dune field in southeastern California, near the border with Arizona and Mexico’s Baja California. Imperial Sand Hills was designated as a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service in the mid sixties. Part of the North Algodones Imperial Sand Dunes are quite beautiful. During the winter there are constant Off Highway Vehicles (OHV’s) which leave tracks on the dunes. Add to that families sand surfing and making Instagram photos it can be tough to get clean dunes. I braved 108 degree daytime temperature this summer so I could get some fairly pristine sands for my desert view. I was not disappointed.”
